Illustrator 2023 not responding

Hi community! Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with the new 2023 illustrator in which when I go to launch the application, I create a file/workspace but then the application just freezes and displayes the colorful loading circle. I work off of a M1 Macbook Pro.

DId this just start to happen? There was an update very recently and did you already reset the preferences afterwards? Of course do also try and reboot the computer.

 

Resetting the prefefences erases all your settings, so you might want to rename the folder, becasue that can be undone incase it doesn't help.

I'm having the same problem! Tried deleting and reinstalling and restarting my computer but no luck

Which system is it?

Did you already reset the preferences? Run the Adobe Cleaner tool between uninstall and reinstall?

Hello! It's Monterey 12.6.1 on a M1 Macbook Pro work computer that I'm not allowed to update to Ventura. I'm not sure what the cleaner tool is is that an app? I didn't see it in the CC search. Also not sure how to reset the preferences if I can't even open the app haha

We are sorry for the trouble. I would like to know if the steps suggested by Monika & Kevin helped? If not, would you mind updating to v27.2? If this doesn't help, try launching Illustrator without the internet and let us know if it opens up so we can further investigate the issue.

 

If this doesn't help either, try running the app under the root account.

Is Illustrator listed and checked active under Apple System Preferences/Security and Privacy/Full Disk Access?
