Hello @Akila37920170bped,
Thanks for reaching out. After installing the Pantone Connect plugin, it should be available under the Window > Extensions Menu.
To add colors to the Swatches menu, please follow the steps shared here: (https://adobe.ly/4cbvv39).
Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
Thanks,
Anubhav

Thanks for responding, but the problem is not where to locate the
extension.
It was indeed in the extensions menu. But having opened it and signed up
etc the colour books DO NOT APPEAR in the colour books menu anywhere! Yes
it shows that the plugin is installed.

I recently subscribed to Pantone Connect. Unfortunately, we don't get the color books like we did before. You must search for the colors in the extension and add them to your swatches. Mouse over the swatch, click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner and select "add to swatch" from the dropdown menu. Note that simply selecting the color swatch only adds the screen mix to your sampled color in Illustrator, not the PMS. You have to add it to the swatches first.
If you're trying to match a color in your file, select "COLOR" in the extension (bottom left) and select "CONVERT", then it gives you the option to input your color mix (CMYK/RGB/LAB) or HEX number.
I hope you and others find this helpful. There may be better ways to deal with all of this, but this is what has worked for me.
