Hi everyone,
Basically, Illustrator keeps crashing every time I try to use 3D effects. I have uninstalled and installed, reset preferences, updated drivers, used the cloud cleaner tool, renamed preferences folder, toggled between GPU and CPU view, switched off GPU performance but nothing seems to have worked. All I'm trying to do is use 3D effects on text with gold material.
Specs:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz
- Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.2 GB usable)
- Edition: Windows 11 Home
I'm not sure what else to try at this point, 3D effects were working fine just last week, and all other tools still function correctly. Please advise.

16 GB of RAM is not a lot, particularly for everythiong 3D. So it might just be the lack of RAM that is causing this. WHen you also have large, complex objects, that will make it not easier.
Can you also check Edit > Color settings? How is that set up?
