Why does Export For Screens use the last set prefix – is there a way to have it automatically use the file name as a prefix?
For some illogical reason, illustrator populates the prefix field with the last used data, which is 99.999% of the time useless to me.
I've been poking around and can't find any reference to this daily pain point.
This would save me time, precious brain cells, and a modicum of frustration everytime I need to export a new batch of assets from a file.

I'm not sure I understand. You want the file name as a prefix? So files would export "filenamefilename.png"?

Ahh no, turns out I had "Custom" prefix setting on by default. So whatever the custom prefix was in the last file, becomes the default Custom Prefix for the next file. I was incorrectly assuming that this was the only option, but I now see it can be set to "None" or "Increasing Number" or "Artboard Number" - one of these options will defininitely be better for me. Of course, I discover this after I ask here...
Still tho, "Filename" would be a really nice prefix option (Filename + Artboardname would be: MyGreatLogo-Portrait.svg, MyGreatLogo-Landscape.svg, MyGreatLogo-Favicon.svg etc etc)
