Question

Illustrator Printing with Line in the middle

Hello,
I noticed I'm having an issue where printing directly from Illustrator gives my documents a fine white line going through the center of the page.

Saving the file as a PDF and printing it from another program like Acrobat, this does not occur. It seems to specifically be limited to anything printed within Illustrator from my tests.

My Ai print settings are default, clean install, no saved preferences.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what's going on here?
I've included some images showing the issue. This is just a K100 rectangle covering the entire 8.5x11 artboard, nothing special.

Thank you in advance!

Is this a colour printer? Does it occur on other colours, e.g. if you had a solid 100C or 100M patch instead of 100K?

What brand/model printer?

Yes, any color. This is a Canon iR-ADV C5535.

greentoad,

Is it also happening if you (have the option and) use a PostScript (emulating) printer driver?
