I use the latest Illustrator version 28.5 on a Windows PC.
I created a shape using the Pen tool. It should be connected like always (Image 1 attached) but when i zoom in the dots seems disconnected (Image 2 attached). I use the lines for a CNC cutting machine, the cutting software doesn't read it when it's disconnected like that. What's the problem with Illustrator, I had no issue before.
I got it finaly... after trying to change the settings of the svg file. It worked when i changed the CSS properties to "Style Attributes (Entity References)" & changed the Decimal places to "2" instead of 1.

Can you please select those shapes and show screenshots of them in the layers panel and also the Appearance panel. Please embed your screenshots in your post, so we do not have to click on them to open them.

The object does just have a stroke. Where does the white come from? And where oes the green come from?
Your trouble is the loose white fill?

Sorry about the confusion.. The White & Green are different layers fill as you see in Layers panel. Attached is just the shape i'm working on.

What is your problem with it? Sorry I do not understand.
Did you check Window > Document info how many paths it is?

I really appreciate your time. Document info says 1 closed path but as you see this attachment when i zoom in the path points are disconnected so when i save the file to an svg to send it to a CNC cutting software it doesn't read it since it's actually an open path. if i try a basic square it works but any shape with the pen tool i always have a problem & it's clear when i zoom in. I don't know what's happening & if it's a glitch with an update. It's doing that last couple weeks, before was no problem.

Can you share an illustrator file with that problem path? Attach it here as .pdf

Is it possible that you have more than one path? Show us your Layers panel and click the triangle to expand the layer.

It's just one path. I'm using the pen tool since forever to send cutting files to the CNC cutting sofware (svg files) but lately i get that weird glitch. It looks good & it says 1 closed path but with zooming in you get those disconnected points so it's not working as a cutting file on the CNC machine.

Thanks for sharing the file. Can you select where that path is open? Can you move that open anchor point?
I can only see a closed path in your file.

I can move the point where it's open but it doesn't do anything. It keeps is open & not working on the CNC cutting software. You will see 1 closed path but if you zoomed in all the way on one point you will see it open, and it's more than one point that's why i feel it's a glitch but it's ruining my life.

Can you show the gap?

There is no gap in your path and there are no anchor points on top of each other.
Did you contact the maker of the cnc software with this problem?

Can you share the Illustrator file including some markers where you see the abnormal behaviour?

I don't see a problem with the eps that you sent. All of the paths are closed, not as you say open. I can give it a solid fill and there is no problem. But this is not a complete file as the green and white layers are not in it. Are there perhaps some single ancchor points in that file on the same layer?

This is what i send to the CNC cutting software just an svg version of this cutting line... I do it since forever but it's been acting weird last couple weeks. we can't use any lines created with the Pen tool for CNC cutting & that wasn't the case before. I tried to create just regular shapes (I do it all day) no problem with the CNC cutting.

Can you explain exactly how you export to .svg including the settings you are using?
Can you share such a .svg file?
