Hardcore Gamer,

Whichever application, whichever changes of format you make, you will either have some empty space (with transparency as in PNG) or white space (without transparency as in  JPEG), or you will have to distort the proportions of the artwork to match the proportions of the chosen formats which are different to those of the original.

Comparable proportions, starting with 5 x 7 (inch):

5x7 inch = 5 x 7
11x14 inch ~ 5.5 x 7
16x20 inch ~ 4 x 5
18x24 inch ~ 6 x 8
24x36 inch ~ 4 x 6
A1 ~ 3.5 x 5
