Images turns from Linked to Embedded ERROR

For quite a while when i try to save some specific AI file on my computer - it turns all of my linked images to embedded. (even though i ticked the "linked file" area when i save it.)

Also it increases the file size to gigantic sizes (600 mb, 800 mb) when theres not alot of data on it.

I tried to copy it and then it did it again.

I dont know what to do with this file and why it does this. did someone had the same problem and can shed a light for me?

I suspect the computer's performance but someone told me that its not the case...

Do you tick this option?

If yes, then you order the program to embed the linked images. So do not tick it. This option is designed to make sure that you will not lose any image in any unexpected situation.

Thanks for trying but even unchecked, it is still automatically embedding.
