Inflate effect is skewing some objects but not others

Hi everyone,

Trying out the 3D inflate tool for a work graphic. The effect worked on some objects but on others it is totally skewing/distorting the object and I have no idea how to change it. Attached is a link to my file and an example of what's happening.

I drew the design in Procreate to which I imported into Illustrator and image traced the objects before recoloring them.

For example, the heart is skewing and so are the KIND, YOUR, and MIND words. BE, TO, and the plants are rendering just fine.

Dang. Sorry about that. I asked on Reddit as well and turns out I just needed to turn each object into a Compound Path.

That actually sounds like a very weird solution and I would really like to see the file.
