Dear All,

I am relatively new to illustrator and my question may seem stupid but:

Is there a way to move the color (that was made with a live bucket tool) to another new layer, and leave the paths in the old layer. (The paths were used to constrain the live bucket color).

Thanks!

If you Expand the Live Paint you will get 2 groups, one with fills and one with strokes.

So it should be easy to move one of these groups to a new layer.

You can try to sample your color using Bucket with Alt key pressed. This way eyedropper appera and you can sample your choosen color and then release Alt key and use it normal way to paint different paths

Live paint is one new object. In order to move stuff to different layers, you need to expand the live trace.
