Live paint problem

Hello.

I am trying to fill these shapes using Live Paint in Illustrator. I have attached a screenshot showing the selected areas. I have converted them to Live paint - a red line shows around each area as I select it. I have selected the relevant layer. I have selected the desired fill color. I showed Outline view and filled gaps, so far as I can tell. Can anyone show tell me what I might be doing wrong?  Grateful for any advice.

First try Cmd Y (or Ctrl Y) to exit Outline View.
