I am working on the logo for this website (link removed by moderator) which belong to my client can you please give me sugestion about which type of logo i should go for ? because its a mexcian news site so i am confuse what will be the logo about which suit website and its overall apperanace.
A good start is just looking at other news web sites and get a sense of what works and what does not work. The creativity has to come from you. There are many sources out there you can use as reference, but some things to keep in mind is "originality" and "simplicity". All of the web based news sites have a unique look and feel, but they all possess the same or similar elements. It may help to take a trip to Juarez to get a sense of the culture and quality of life, people, colors, food, music, etc., build all of those into a logo that enriches those elements and gives the viewer a sense of being there. Not an easy task.
Also, their UI is different than their logo. But, the UI shoots off of the logo and reinforces their identity in other mediums such as signage, stationery, vehicles, etc. You have an opportunity to not only build their logo, but also carry it over to their UI ( user interface ).
