Make an Illustrator Action so It is Always Playing?

Hi

I've set up an illustrator action to clone an object (copy and paste in front) which i've assigned to the f9 key.  When I play the action it works, but after i've hit F9 to do the clone action it doesn't work again until i play the action again?

Is there a way of setting it so every time i hit f9 it clones the selected object? Having to play the action each time kind of defeats the object in terms of time-saving?
