So I got a brand new gaming computer and I can't download the most recent version of creative cloud desktop app. It only lets me download older version which is frustrating because I need the newest version for my classes. Now at first I thought this was an issue with the version of windows that I had to install. So I updated my computer to the latest version and Uninstalled the old version of Creative Cloud to see if can install the most recent version, only to encounter the same issue of not being able to download the most recent version.

Please be specific about versions. What operating system version do you have? What version of Creative Cloud won't install, and what version will install?
And, what happens when you try to download the current version?
Where do you download it from?

The most recent version of Creative Cloud won't install. (The 2021 Version I believe.) Instead everytime I go to the adobe creative cloud site to download it, itll just give me the 2018 version I believe instead of the newest one. Operating system ? I am new to this computer stuff to be honest. But I believe for my computer it is this one. (32-bit operating system, x64-based processor). I found it in my computer info screen and hope thats what you are asking for .

Ok, we actually need the detailed operating system. Let's just start with: is it Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or Windows 11?

Any chance you are getting the Creative Cloud through an enterprise account?

How can I check what kind of account that I have ? I am a student taking a graphics design course and have a free student plan. On my old and slow desktop computer I was able to run the most recent versions of the Adobe softwares which is weird because the computer itself was a lot slower and older. I believe it also ran Windows 10 as well.

Ok, putting this together: you have a recent version of Windows 10 (32-bit version). Unfortunately, for quite a few years, Adobe have only run on the 64-bit version of Windows. Here's a little bit of the Illustrator system requirements:
I've no idea why a brand new gaming computer should have 32-bit Windows, it's rather strange. It's pretty much obsolete, and Windows 11 doesn't have a 32-bit version at all.

I was suspecting that was the issue but I was not sure. Also the reason why it is a 32 bit is because I bought used parts to make a budget PC. Its nothing top of the line but still pretty decent performance. Regarding that issue, since I do have a 32 bit computer, would adding an SSD fix this issue at all?

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about the trouble. As your Operating system is a 32-Bit version and since 2019, most of the CC apps are available in 64-Bit version only.
As your PC processor is x64, it should support a 64-Bit version of Windows 10. But before buying or installing a 64-Bit version of Windows 10, I would suggest you, please check if your PC meets all the system requirements or not. If it does support, then you may buy and install it in order to install and get access to all the CC 2022 apps.
Also, I would suggest you check out other system requirements to install & run CC 2022 apps. You may check individual app system requirements on this helpx article (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html) by clicking on their name.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or need further assistance. We'd be happy to help.
Thanks & Regards,
