Since I bought a new laptop, I signed out the Illustrator and uninstalled it from my old computer before reinstalling it in my new laptop. I was expecting to see the recent files shown on the top page of Illustrator as usual in my on my new laptop too but nothing was shown. Some of my Ai files which I have already finished editting and saved on the desktop folder of the old laptop were still there, but the recent ones which I was always opening from the top page of Illustrator are all gone. Any idea where they are saved or where I should search for? I've laready checked Creative Cloud, C drive of both new and old laptops but couldn't find them either...

I'm moving this to the Illustrator forum, from Illustrator for iPad, as it seems that's what you're using.

If you have been saving as Cloud Documents, then I would check in the "Cloud Documents" section of the Home Screen, which is a few entries down from the default of "Home."

The "Home" screen shows recently opened documents from the device you're on, and can vary from device to device. But the "Cloud Documents" tab will show everything that's been saved to Creative Cloud.

Your cloud documents will be in the format .aic, vs .ai for normal locally stored files.

If you believe you stored the files locally, you'll have to search again for them on your old laptop.
