Which version of Ai are you running? Can you see the application menu at the top?

Have you tried to Reset Workspace? Can you check your Preferences > User Interface change to gray or white?

What is the size  and type of document that have open?

What happens if you try to open a template file?

That's not what im meaning. My whole work space is just black when i open my recent work,

No colors, no lines, nothing, only black.

Just solved actually. The only way I got it to work was downloading a UI template from creative cloud and it populated the workspace with template. I then created a new document and the black went away.
