Hi guys,
I'm just starting to learn illustrator, and loving it so far. FOund some great tutorials to get started, anyway I'm having trouble with the "outer glow" effect. Basically all I get is a large black blob where my glow should be:
Makes no difference what colour I select, or the opacity, it's just always black!! Very frustrating. I'm sure it's something really simple like a setting or something, but I'm lost trying to figure it out.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks!!

What Mode do you select in the Outer Glow Dialog?
Try changing it to see if it makes a difference.
