Question

Outline Stroke shortcut removed in latest CC?

I use the outline text and outline stoke shortcuts incredibly regularly, and I'm noticing that in the latest (23.0.6) update, the outline stroke shortcut (ctrl+alt+o) is no longer available? Obviously I can still perform the function through the menu, but does anyone know if there's a way to either reinstate the shortcut, or if the shortcut has been changed? Thanks!

    Hello @Meli_Hurt,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind trying to manually reassign the keyboard shortcut (https://adobe.ly/3VLL5MD) to see if it helps?

    Looking forward to your response.

I'm on the Windows version 23.1, and Type > Create Outlines (Shift + Ctrl + O) and Object > Path > Outline Stroke are both there. The latter doesn't have a keyboard shortcut, but you could change by going to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.

Hi, thanks for the reply -- yeah it used to be a standard shortcut, but it seems to have been removed in the latest updates, oddly. I've since added it in as you suggested which has worked fine, so thank you! I got a warning dialogue pop up that ctrl+alt+o had a shortcut conflict with something in Bridge, but that seems like such a weird move to have removed an established shortcut in one program to use it an a separate program? Frustrating, but ultimately solvable so I can't really complain too much!
