Hi, so I have an actual image and text which I outlined.
When I try to use minus front pathfinder the text dissapears.
Does anyone know the solution?

Pathfinder operations does not work with imges, raster objects. Select the both objects and use object:clipping mask, as I suspect it is the outcome you are after

Or an opacity mask with clipping disabled.
