PLEASE FIX PACKAGING SAVE PROCESS

As it stands, packaging a file in Illustrator doesn't a;ways natively save the new folder in the same project folder as the AI file, WHICH IT SHOULD. Please fix.

For me it daves to the same location as the .ai file on Mac 12.7.1 and AI 28.1 

You may be waiting a long time to see that. Might I suggest packaging your file to the desktop? You can use Command D to set the location to the desktop when asked where to save.
