Plugin Won't Save License After Close and Re-open or Reboot

Good Evening...

I am using the latest Illustrator 2023 ver 27 and am having a weird bug that I can't seem to figure out.

I am using a well known plugin and it works great with both 2022 and now with 2023, however, when I activate my license, which does activate the plugin, however, once I close Illustrator, it forgets the license.

Basically everytime I close and open illustartor or restart my computer, I have to enter my license again.

This happened randomly with 2022 but always would remember the license after a few attempts. Now with 2023, I can't get it to remember it at all. This also happened on a second plugin I use, however, it's pretty rare.

I have spoken with the developer and was told this happens very rarely and he does not know what is causing the license to not save.

Any ideas on what is the cause and how I can fix it? Kind of annoying to have to enter my license number every time I fire up Illustrator.

Could be anything from permissions issues on a folder to the same happening on the Registry. Since you haven't realyl mentioned the actual plug-in name and where it stores the license nor provided any actual system info we can't realyl tell you much. The screenshot is barely enough to deduce that you're on a Windows system and if you had cropped off the controls in the top right corner, even that wouldn't be possible. Anyway, the first thing to do is to run with escalated privileges. Right-click on the AI app icon and choos Run as Administrator.

Hello @TradingSin,

Sorry to hear about this experience. I hope the suggestions shared by Mylenium helped resolve the problem. If not, kindly try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-...) and share your observations.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav
