Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out. Just to confirm your scenario, are you getting "File does not exist" error when you click on a recent file to open?
If this is the case then you have moved your file to a different location probably. Please check using Finder/Explorer if you see your file.

If this is not the case, please elaborate. Mention version of OS and Illustrator as well please. We'll be happy to help.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Catalina Mac Os 10.15.3

Adobe Illustrator 24.0.3

I've searched at the latest saved .AI files for the last week and many years.

And exported the AI file as new PNGs .

The new PNGs are all saved from 01/25/2020 intil 01/27/2020 (all ten versions of the PNG).

All of the older AI files are deleted.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for sharing this information. Please open Illustrator Preferences (CMD+K) > File Handling & Clipboard > Change "Number of Recent Files to Display" to 30. File handlink and clipboard.png

It will show last 30 files you opened in Illustrator on "Home Screen"? Do you see your files there? If yes, hover over on the name of file and it will show the location where the file is saved.

Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.
