Resize image

Hi I have an Ai file that is 1000x1000px but whenever I export it as a jpeg it either goes to 523x500 or something like 2000px. How do I make it so it saves the jpeg as 1000x1000?

Hi David,

If I get it correctly, you are exporting an artboard as JPEG, it's not exporting the correct dimensions? Did you select the option "Use Artboard" while exporting? If not, please do and then check. Please check the screenshot below:
