Saving the project distorts my paths

Hi, I'm currently trying to make a map for my diplomacy game. The thing is, every time I save the progress I've made, I exit out of Illustrator and when I open the app again the borders are no longer aligned as it should be.
Thats how it looks before saving and re-opening the app.

How do you save it? As Illustrator file or other like SVG?

I am always exporting it to svg, because when I use the "save as" my image gets destroyed as you can see in the images.

Can you check the SVG settings and increase the decimal points?

Just saving in Illustrator format as .ai on a local hard disk should never distort your files, but saving as .svg can do that.

Do not use SVG as your work file format. It's not suited for that in Illustrator.
