Simply a design for print - gradient stroke on complex series of lines

Hi there, I have this design. Is there anything I can do to make sure it prints properly on press.

It's a series of lines (like 200) made into a circle using the polar grid tool. Then the lines were stroked as a unit with a gradient.  And after that, a clipping mask is created on the shape to give it a slightly different shape.

Is there a way to join this shape without losing the individual gradients?

I tried expanding the stroke, and then cropping the extra part that was masked out, but that created another mess. And I can't unit the whole thing as the gradiant doesn't keep.

Any ideas?

Is there any harm, in NOT expanding the stroke and just leaving it as is?

"Is there anything I can do to make sure it prints properly on press."

Work in a CMYK document and hide the transparency grid to avoid surprises.

You can leave the strokes as they are.

How thick are the lines and how large will you print it?

Those lines will be screened on press, which might lead to unwanted effects. Also when lines are too thin, they might vanish completely.
