Hi all, for example, I want to snap the bottom anchor point of the top line to the top anchor of the bottom line, by moving the top line as a whole, without changing size or angle. But only way I can get it to snap is by scaling or moving the anchor point or by getting the numerical position of anchor points, which are very tedious work arounds.
cpvoa,
Smart Guides being your friends, just deselect everything, then with the (normal black arrow) Selection Tool (keystroke V) ClickDrag the top path by its bottom Anchor Point to snap.
Smart Guides will say anchor when you are within snapping distance (at least with the right settings), and you can just let go.

Hi Jacob, I'm trying to avoid changing the line itself, only move it as a whole. How can I do that via the bottom anchro point without scaling it?
Edit: Ah, by click dragging by the anchor point while the whole shape is deselected. Thanks!

Not sure if you want to move one anchor point or the entire line so will do both in video.
I option clicked on mac to select as solid anchor points to move entire line. Hollow point only move the selected point.
Disregard garbage at end, am not good at stoping movie recording in quicktime.

Thanks! It appears that I had turn on "snap to point" and increase the tolerance in preferences > smart guides.
