Hi, I must do something wrong and I am looking for help.

Working with Adobe Illustrator 2020 at my work, macOS Ventura, and Illustrator 2019, macOS High Sierra, at home.

When I save my work from Illustrator 2020 as a copy CC and drag it into my Cloud Files, I can see them but not downloade them to my 2019 version at home.

My solution until now, is to use Google Drive or Dropbox, to be able to work with my documents between the to machines. But, it is really not possible to store Illustrator/InDesign in downgraded versions in Clouds Files and be able to download them?

Best Regards

Are you talking about Cloud documents (.aic)?

You can also sync your files by saving them in your CC files folder. That way they are always saved locally and also downloaded to your other computer.

They automatically get versioned (you can go back to previous file versions for at least 10 days ago).

And still make traditional backups as well...

Hi Ton, thanks for replay.

No, I am not talking about versions from my work. I am talking about how to acces files Adobe 2020 from Adobe 2019. When I save a Illustrator dokument as CC from macOS Ventura, I can not download or keep on working from High Sierra, Adobe 2019?

I can not downlod or open the file from Adobe 2019Creative-Cloud.png

I am not sure what I am looking at in your screendump, it is a weblink but not an Illustrator file.

Saving your files in the CC Files folder should make them  available on synched systems.

Thanks for replay

The screendump was, like it look likes, when I try to open a Illustrator file from home (Illustrator 2019) - there are no available files to open? I can see them from Creative Cloud App on my old mashine, but can not open them.

How do I save my files in the CC Files folder from Illustrator 2020 and be able to open them from Illustrator 2019?

Also, when I try to download the files from browser, I just get "download failed".

Are there a instruction for "dumies"? 🙂

Yes, I save Illustrator as CC (legacy) and copy them to AdobeCreative Cloud from Illustrator 2020 (Ventura), but I can not acces them (open or download) from Creative Cloud 2019 (High Sierra). Is there a special folder in Acobe Creativ Clould cald "CC files folder"?

Thanks for your patiens and answers

There is a special folder on your machine named Creative Cloud Files.

Thanks again. I didn´t realized there was a difference between Creative Clouds Files on my machine and Creative Cloud. When I open Creative Cloud I can see my apps and files, among others. This files is not available to download or to keep on working with. Hope I explains the difference comprehensibly?

But I realized that I have to save CC Legacy local on my machine, then drag and drop them in to Creative Clouds Files in Finder.

Now everything is fine and I want to thank you again for your explanations and your patience.

Hi Marie, good to hear that works now. I always save direct to the Creative Clouds Files folder, no need to first save somewhere else and then drag & drop. It is just a local folder that is watched and when the file is saved it is synced.
