Hello,

I have created a path in Illustrator, that after I save it as .SVG and reopen it, the path has been "Ouline Stroke" (so no longer a simple path or line).

I have tried to compound path with the same result.

thank you!

Start by cecking your appearnace panel. you may have messed with something that would require converting the stroke to a fill like e.g. applying a secondary stroke or changing opacity. Also your paths appear to not be cleaned up and joined correctly. you have definitely duplicate points at the sharp corners of the ears.

Have you drawn it using the brush tool? Then there's a brush applied and that cannot be saved as SVG.

BTW: as long as you want to still edit the file, don't save as SVG. SVG is not for editing. Save as AI and then only export SVG when you want to deliver the file to the developer. As soon as the developer makes any edits in the SVG you can no longer take it back to Illustrator without losing those edits.
