Dear all,
Everytime I use the Text to Vector Graphic my computer crashes (black screen and automatic reboot), no questions asked. It always happens at the same specific generating process. It feels like the text to Vector feature is using far to many computer resourses. I am working with Win.11, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, RAM 64, Intel Core i9-14900KF. Bios, adobe, windows, and drivers are up to date.
I reinstalled Illustrator and allowed me to generate one graphic but when I tried again the system crashed at the same point. This is not happening anywhere else in Adobe (e.g. Photoshop, Bridge, etc...) nor in other softwares. It ONLY happens with Text to Vector. Something is wrong here. Please help
Sergio
It seems I got the solution to my computer problem crashing all the time with the Illustrator's Text to Vector: My power box was not powerful enough. I replaced it from 700w to 1000w and now works very smooth. I actually found the solution using Chat GPT. I asked: what may be the computer problem if it chrashes and reboots without warning? It gave me 3 posibilities, but it said most likely is power. Et voila!

Maybe contact Customer Care and have them take a look at it.

Thanks Monika, I tried but I only get a virtual help. What puzzels me it that everything works smothly, the only feature that crashes my computer is Illustrator Text to Vector tool. I did a clean reinstallation of Nvidia, and illustrator. Still there, perhaps I should unistall it and install the previous version?

Thanks Anubhav,
The crash goes directly to a blackscreen followed by a system reboot. No "crash report" appears in order to send a report to adobe. The system failure happens 5 seconds after a request to AI to generate an image is entered (when the three images start to show in the AI Generation window) . The AI crash is very consistant, always at the same point, no matter is one request "an apple" or Picasso's "Guernica".
I will send the System info. to the email given to see if Adobe can spot where the conflict with AI is.
Regards
Sergio

A quick update: I did the Adobe clean uninstall and reinstalled the whole Adobe Creative suit. THe black screen reeboot crash still happens, exactly when the vector images (3) are being generated. Although not so frequent as with Illustrator, I am also experincing the same issue with Adobe bridge, when transfering big format images to photoshop via Camera Raw. I contact Adobe support but no news or comments, seems a dead end. Any suggestions are truly welcome.

Did you run the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool in between uninstall and reinstall?

How much RAM is installed on your computer?
Did you have the graphic card check for hardware issues?

Hi Monika,
Yes, I used the Cleaner tool and then reinstall. My ram is 64 and I contacted the Nvidea people who have helped me to reinstall and update its driver.
Still puzzled..
