Unable to open PDF in Illustrator 2020. How to roll back Illustrator to previous version?

My Illustrator has been updated to 2020 and now can not open up PDF that have been joined as a book together is there a way I can roll back to original version or is there a quick fix for this please ????

I'm not sure I understand the problem with opening the PDF, but you can instal the previous version of Illustrator with the Creative Cloud desktop app. Click on the three dots (more actions icon) in the lower right of the Illustrator app in the Creative Cloud app. You will find the previous app instal here.

Also, could you please share the exact workflow of the issue? Are you saving multiple PDF files from Illustrator and then combining them later using some other application? Could you please share a sample file?
