The reason I haven't been able to use the updates to illustrator since CS6 is that the user interface is too large and Mickey Mouse.

Yes, I have the size set to small in preferences.

My screen resolution is 1900x1200 with dual monitors.

Can't go higher.

Incidentally, I've been using Illustrator in my patent drafting business since Illustrator 88. (also an original beta tester)

I know what I'm doing I think.

Any suggestions?

Could you post a screen shot showing what you're talking about? Since you say that you haven't updated since CS6 then how do you know that the interface is too large on your computer? Please show, if possible, the difference that you perceive in the size of the interface between versions.

I have all the updated Illustrator files, but still USE Illustrator CS6.

Have to pay the piper to use anything.

Kind of obvious that the menus and other interface items are too large when they won't fit like I like to have them.

Based on your reply to Monika that you are using Windows 10, please know that CS6 is not supported for Windows 10. I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem you're speaking of but it should be noted at least.

That's patently not true. CS6 works beautifully and always has in Windows 10.

It's not an issue vs CS6.

It's a complaint that, in windows 10 pro at 1920x1200, the interface is too large for my taste.

(And why the arrow shape change?)

Can you post a screen shot?

"I have the size set to small in preferences.

Same here:

Untitled-1.png

(I know the image is tiny here in the forum, but) Is that too large on the UI?

Thanks, John. That's what I am trying to find out. How to get that view size of menus.

Here's what I get.

Gee, Dan

I'd check to see if "advanced scaling settings" in Windows 10/Settings/Display has been set different from 100% size

That is where windows gets its app size if set differently.
