I am desperatley in need of some help. I am trying to recreate a logo in Illustrator as a vector image as the only version of the logo that we have is a poor quality Photoshop file. The original vector file cannot be placed.

The effect that I need is for my text to be outlined in black with this diffused speckly effect. Does anyone know how I can achieve this on Illustrator? (See part of current PNG logo below)

Many thanks

Go to your Symbols Library and choose "Artistic Textures". Then select the "stipple" symbol texture.

Next, select your symbol sprayer tool. Now click and drag on your canvas to draw a stipple texture effect.

You could also try to find some grunge brush library on the internet to make the letter "S" texture.

Inflov, Hi.

For that grunge look, I just used a brush.

Artistic> Artistic_Chalk

I drew an S shape, 1pt stoke, white, applied Chalk art brush.

Then expanded, (now have Fills).

Ungrouped, deleted some and moved around a few.
