hey bluebeary45i found some Free Vector brushes all in Adobe Ai format here : Free Splatter Vector Images (over 220) just open the splatter and drag and drop into the WINDOWS > Brushes swatch. When it prompts you, try either Scatter Brush, Art Brush or Pattern  Brush - have a play round as each one gives a different effect depending on the shape
