White outline around work added to CC Libraries - Illustrator

Using Illustrator CC, I am rebranding an job that I did for a client a couple of years ago. The problem is that the "star" in the new logo has a white outline.

Here is the old logo:

And here is the new logo:

When it's on a dark background, you can see that the white is all the way around the "star".

What I have done is change the gradient of the old logo, then drop it into Libraries, then add it to the new logo. This is happening before exporting. So, why am I getting a white outline? Any ideas on how to fix this?

The star shape looks like an image. did you create and change it in Illustrator?
