How to constrain proportions on grouped objects in AI iPad?

Please help, as I am struggling with proportions while grouping objects.

Make them a compound path under the Object menu and then hold down the shift key while dragging to desired proportion.

Press down on the clear bubble and hold the handle of the corner of the object to resize and keep proportions.
