Dear Illustrator users,
I have managed to change the Pen cursor to a cross when I select it and begin to work. Please could someone tell me how you change the cursor/cross back to looking like a Pen.
Much appreciated
Ben
Go to Illustrator>Preferences>General and deselect Use Precise Cursors.
Peter

Hi,
Thanks for the advise but it hasn't changed the cursore. The cursor is still a cross when I select the pen tool or a + sign when I select the other pen tools. Please could you suggest something else
Thanks

The pen tool will become a pen tool with a plus sign if you hover it over a path at a point where there is no anchor point.
If you hover it over an anchor point it becomes a pen tool with a minus sign.
If for some reason the settigs hav become corrut I guess it might cause this.
Quit Illustrator and while launching Illustrator hold the command>Option>Shift Keys all at the same time to reset the prefrences.
On the PC that would be Control>Alt>Shift. You start the Launch and immediately hold these keys down do not wait or it doesn't work.
When you either get a dialog asking if you want to reset you can let go or just wait until it fully launch.
See if that helps.

Shunith – you can stop being envious now: except where the plow built up a huge berm across the street, and a few spots that are in perpetual shade, the snow is gone, the sandhill cranes are back, and the buds will explode any minute.
