For a project, I have a diagram created in Illustrator linked/referenced into an InDesign document to add a legend, title, etc. This workflow seems to work smoothly, except for when I export to PDF. I am noticing some gap spacing in dashed lines I have drawn in the Illastrator file are expanding when I export to PDF. See below:

(Line in linked Illustrator file in print preview from InDesign)

(Same dashed line with stretched dash gaps in exported PDF)

I tried unchecking the "Compress Line and Text Art" box under Compression in the Export to Adobe PDF window, but it didn't fix the issue. Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreicated. Thank you!

Have you just tried outlining the stroke of your dashed line?

Thanks, that's a good work around but doesn't explain the initial issue...
