Hello Community 🙂

I thought maybe my Illustrator v24 is causing this...

I have 20 images in a document, all images are fine when clipped with a mask and document is saved, but there are 5 images that are declipped from their mask when document in reopened.. always the same 5.

I've updated my Illustrator to 25.3...same issue... ALL images in the document come from the same camera, the same 5 images are always declipped when document in reopened.

I'm going NUTS!! I've searched the forum, can't find anyone else with this issue

Please help

Sandra

Looks like your clipping object are too complicated.

It should look simple like the one on the right.

Are those linked or embedded (it should not make a difference)?

Maybe there is something wrong with the document.

It may help if you fix the clipping masks and copy/paste everything in a new document (check Paste Rembers layers before pasting) and save the new document.

Good suggestion... but to prepare the jpg for this post, I've copied the 5 images intro a new document... and exported for web.. so the original document does not have an issue...I've reopened the new document, same issue... so so strange!

Could someting be missing from the 5 images that Ilustrator cannot compute?

I've opened 1 photo in Photoshop and saved it with a new name, I thought maybe the photo passing through Photoshop can make things wright...  still no change...

Hi there,

Interesting find! So I simply must re-create a new mask with the image.. have you tried to save the document and re-open? Does your image stay clipped?

Thank you so much!
