Problems saving files

I ´ve been having consistently problems saving and exporting files in Illustrator for a while now.

Every time I want to export a .png file, I select the artboard I want to export but it turns out exporting every artboard I´ve been working on.

Now I ´m trying to save as PDF file one artboard, I choose the one I want to save and Illustrator saves another artboard.

Any ideas?

Selecting an artboard in the document has no effect on what gets exported. You need to make the choice(s) in the Export As or Export for Screens dialog box. Go to the File menu > Export > Export As… or Export for Screens… and make your choice(s) there.

Or for PDF choose Save As…

Thank you for answer!! I usually don´t use Export for screens, but I´ll try that. In the case of PDF, I do exactly what you show, but it doesn´t work, I ends up saving every artboard even when I specify the range...
