Text Import error message

My colleague created some artwork in Illustrator and Photoshop which was saved to the server at work and I have downloaded on to my mac to work on.

When I try to open the Illustrator file I get the attached error message.

We are using two different mac versions. My colleague is using version 10.15.5 and my version is 10.13.6 (not sure if that has anything to do with it). 

I am able to open all Illustrator and Photoshop files that I have created perfectly fine on my mac.

Can anyone help?

This dialog box usually points to a corrupt file.

Might have happened when the file was saved directly to the server.

There's a silght chance that it happens when you opened the file. Try and first download it, then open.

Thanks. There actually was a problem on the server but all seems to be fine now.
