Microsoft Endnote to InCopy to InDesign?

Hello! Has anyone had success importing endnotes (saved from Endnote - it seems to become a Bibliography in Word) to InDesign in such a way that they maintain their links from superscript to the reference in the Biblio? I used InCopy to import from Word, and there appear to be links on the superscript, but they don't translate to links in a PDF (which is the final result we need). Any ideas appreciated!

Are you making this PDF from InDesign or Word?

I've tried exporting to PDF from InCopy, as well as InDesign. No joy.

Thanks, Yes - I imported it properly. Reminder: the "endnotes" are generated by a program called Endnote, which is a plugin for Word. It generates a bibliography, but not endnotes in the way Word typically understands them. Therefore InDesign does not see them as endnotes. However in InCopy, there are tags around the superscript numbers that show it knows "something" is there. I want to know if you have successfully reconnected the superscript numbers as live links in InDesign when imported from Word using Endnotes (the plugin, not Word's own endnotes).

I have successfullly imported Word endnotes and footnotes before, and exported them from InDesign as an interactive PDF. This is a different animal. I'm trying not to manually relink 143 references.

I did not realize that you were referring to a Word plugin, but I cannot eliminate that as the issue, unfortunately. Try to create a new Word file and add some end notes manually without the plugin. If that file imports properly, along with the links then I think we have a culprit.
