I do medical journals, loving the idea of being able to send proofs back to editors and authors (many of them) without the impracticality of them needing a CC license to use InCopy. In testing it myself I have some ideas, hopefully they're already being thought about.
- Please keep it where someone I send a proof do does not need to create an adobe account or download anything to their computer. For customers who aren't tech-savvy, with secure/government emails and computers, etc. this would be a roadblock.
- Allow comments similar to Acrobat so questions/suggestions can be added without changing anything.
- Tracking changes, not just overwriting? If an author makes 58 changes in a 30 page document, unless I'm missing something I don't think there's a way for me to see what they did or where, and quickly revert it if I don't approve it. Flying blind if they change anything.
- There is currently no side scrolling. Opening 2 page spread documents, it defaults to viewing the first page centered, but then below, the 2 page spread is off to the left and having to go to the zoom to fit to screen is clumsy, and again for less tech-savvy authors might be a problem.
- More rubust text editor on par with this comment box I'm using now? Super/subscript, lists, etc. Just bold/italic options seems limited.
- More browsers supported? Not all authors/editors might use Chrome.
