A strange LR alert and all my files are gone. Folders are empty.
Hi guys,
Here is the alert - please see below. What does it mean and can the damage be reversed?
(Luckily I have a clone of the ailing drive, so no files were lost, but some late adjustments were.)
Please enlighten me.Thanks a million,
Raphael
The new cables seem to gave worked!

Check your hard drive. An disk i/o error indicates a hardware problem with the hard drive.

Are you able to access the backup Catalog that is generally done automatically? If so, your recent adjustments should be there.

You may need to grant LR Full Disk Access, as detailed here:
LR sometimes acts very strangely without Full Disk Access.
If that doesn't help, then I agree with Axel that it's likely a hardware problem with the disk -- you should stop using it immediately and run full disk diagnostics or take it to a repair shop if you're not comfortable doing that.

A friend clicked on the latest LR folder in Finder and it worked!
I am meeting with a Genius at Apple to check the hard drive.
More to come - Thanks a lot everyone!
