Hi!
I had to reinstall my LR6 installation since the program refused to start (it froze immediately after starting it). Hence I wasn't able to deactivate my license before the reinstallation and now I get told that the activation with my license key is not possible due to the fact that my serial number reached the limit of allowed installations.
In the past this already was the case once. Then I had the possibility to talk to someone of customer support on the phone, but now it seems like that the forum is the only "allowed" contact platform for me.
So is anyone out here who can help me with my activation? I'd really appreciate it!
Greetings!

To chat or talk with a support human, go to Adobe.com, click Help & Support > Contact Us, and type "agent".
Adobe stopped providing downloads of LR 6.14 on 12/31/2023:
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/lightroom-6-end-of-support.html
The article is titled "End of Support", but it doesn't make clear whether you can still activate new installations of LR 6.14 with previous downloaded copies and whether Support will help with that.
So please let us know what you learn -- it will likely be an FAQ.

I have an update on the situation.
I talked to customer support via chat and unfortunately they couldn't help me without me knowing on which mailadress the license was registered to. I was pretty sure I knew which one it was (this one here) but obviously it wasn't. So they refused to take any actions unless I can provide the adress for verification.
Not even the invoice together with an ID was enough to convince them that the software was actually mine.
They insisted that I had to contact my reseller and get the mail adress from him with which they registered the license.
Unfortunately that reseller is out of business since a few years. On contacting them per mail I received an automatically generated response in which he states that he "occassionally looks up his mails for support" and I "will for sure get support, although it may take some while".
So on this I'm pretty much stuck now...
Any suggestions are very welcome. And I'll keep you updated if I ever hear back from the reseller.
Cheers!
