I have some presets already in LR classic. I have added some more to Adobe/Camera Raw/Settings/ folder, but i cannot see them upon relaunch in LR. So, i tried pressing 'import presets' in the Presets area, but i cannot see the Library folder in the dialogue (Catalina 10.15.1) to navigate through to the 'settings' folder to perhaps select and import my presets.
Am i doing this right? And, if so, can anyone advise?
Thank you in advance. Alex

Which NUMBER version of Lightroom?
Are these presets XMP files or LrTemplate files?

Thank you - 9.2 - .lrtemplate

The new shared folder with the ACR presets needs the files to be XMP.
I am guessing that you need to put the LrTemplate files in the old Lightroom preset folder and let LR convert them to XMP files as it puts them into the new shared folder.

Thank you. Do you know where is this new place you are asking me to put them? And are you saying i have no need to convert, LR will auto do it?

Hint: I keep ALL my downloads of Presets in a Documents folder.
D:\DATA\DOCUMENTS\PHOTOGRAPHIC LIGHTROOM\PRESETS FOR LIGHTROOM\Develop Presets
To Import any Develop Preset to LR-
1) Open the drop-down menu from the [+] on the Presets header, select 'Import'
2) Locate and select the Preset files (.lrtemplate or .xmp) in the folder where they were downloaded (and extracted from ZIP files!).
3) Click the browser window [Import] button.
"LR will auto do it-( convert) ?" Yes!
Notes:
The Grouping of Presets is determined by information within the Preset file. So you may find many Dev-Presets install in the 'User' group.
If you have your Catalog Preferences set to "Store Presets with Catalog" then you will not see these presets until you copy them to the folder that is located with your catalog file.

By that, are you refering to the Library folder in your MAC? And, if so, system library, or user library? And see: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html
Or the Library module in LRC?

By that, do you mean:
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings

Have you selected to store presets with catalog lately (bad IMO)

And an obvious question to ask just in case. In Lightroom Classic, in the Prests panel, the + symbol, click on it, select Manage, are your missing presets simply not selected to display? Lightroom defaults to just a few.

And while asking obvious questions. RAW correct? Many presets RAW only. If JPEG, have you changed the defaults to allow for partially comparable presets?

Two options:
1. Use Finder to move the .lrtemplate presets to your Desktop. Then in LR do Presets Panel > + > Import Presets and navigate to your Desktop.
2. Do Presets Panel > + > Import Presets. Then in the open-file window, type the Finder magic keyboard shortcut Cmd + Shift + . to show hidden files. Then navigate to your hidden Library folder.
In both options, Import Presets will convert the old-format .lrtemplate presets to new-format .xmp presets.
