Community Beginner ,
Dec 05, 2021 Dec 05, 2021

I recently got lightroom before the update.  Im looking to add custom brush presets, but i cant seem to find tutorials of this process since the update added the masking feature.  Thanks for any help.

Nothing has changed, so all tutorials are still valid.

Nothing has changed for the Brush in LrC-11, except the Brush tool icon now appears in the Masking Group.

Brush Presets are .LRTEMPLATE format files and can be found by going through -

Preferences > Presets Tab > Show All Other Lightroom Presets -  and opening the {Local Adjustment Presets} sub-folder.

Something like this (Not using  'Store Presets with Catalog')-

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Local Adjustment Presets.

If you have acquired Brushes, you can Copy & Paste the .lrtemplate files to this folder and restart LrC.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 14.5.1, Photoshop 26.10, ACR 17.5, Lightroom 8.5, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 15.1.1 .

Thank you.  I think that is what was throwing me off.  Im used to seeing the icons right under the Histogram and now you have to open the mask tab first.  Thanks again.
