After updating pictures are gone

After the update to the latest version all my pictures from 2021 are not any longer in Lightroom. Neither the uploaded ones from my mobile nor the ones in different folders. Platform: Mac OS MacSur

I have so many subfolders that to find all pictures from 2021 to upload without missing some. Any idea what I cant do?

You have accidentally upgraded the wrong Lightroom Classic catalog. Try opening the files under File->Open Recent until you get to the catalog that shows what you want.
