Beach Ball when zooming, Infinite "Loading" when trying to Full Screen

The past few weeks, Lightroom has been unusably slow! Every time I zoom in or out, I get the Mac Spinning Beach Ball for several long seconds, like half a minute or so. It makes going through hundreds of photos excrutiating, and I'm having to use Capture One just to get things done!

Also when trying to go into Full Screen mode, the screen goes black and it says "Loading," but it never does, so I have to use the arrow keys to go back and forth to jog it to life, and when it does, it's often an older version of the image, until I job back and forth a few more times.

Acceleration is set to Default, which is on. I'm on a common M1 Max Macbook.
