Book Module Bugs - Jumpy Photo Text

I've seem to have some very annoying bugs in the Book module in LR Classic v9.1, unless it's just down to user error. I've done a bit of searching on here, but did not see this issue specifically. Apologies if it's been covered before.

I'm just trying to do a super basic layout on each page with a single large image and a small caption on the bottom. I've got about 160 images to bring in, caption, etc. onto a Large Square book layout.

To date, I've brought in the first couple images to get the layout right, adjusted the cell padding, set the font size and colour for my photo text, set the photo text to a fixed position (i.e., "align with photo" is off), and like the layout of the page and have saved it as a custom layout. I've even saved the Text Style as a new preset. Great.

To apply the layout to the second image, I select the custom layout from the drop-down list, the appropriate changes are applied, everything looks to be in the right place. Great.

Now when I click to edit the caption in the photo text, the location of the caption jumps up onto the photo. The Photo Text settings are correct, but the 'align with photo' option has now toggled itself on. The font colour and size of the caption have also been changed from my preset (now showing as the Text Style preset name with (edited) in parentheses as if I've modified its settings and they have reverted to the default Myriad Pro Regular font. This feels like a genuine bug. Does anyone have any advice?

I can fix the issue by clicking the 'align with photo' option off and selecting my Text Style preset again, but this will be very annoying to do across all 160 photos.

There is also a bit of oddness when I select the Text Style preset, in that it selects the proper typeface (in this case Neutraface 2 Text), but the specific font weight (Book) is blank and does not appear in the drop-down list. But if I fill in the caption, it all comes out properly. And, finally, if I apply the layout to a photo that already has a caption in the photo text cell, the text is removed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'll add that I've changed to using Page Text and things are somewhat improved in that it doesn't jump around, but the text style still reverts to Myriad Pro from my preset for some reason.
