I am using Lightroom 5.7 on Windows 7 Business Edition, Camera RAW 8.7. I can not import RAW images taken with a new Canon SL2.
Searching under General Topics>Does Camera RAW Support My Camera, I find that the SL2 is not on the December 2017 list of supported cameras. Adobe supposedly adds support within 90 days of a cameras release. The Canon website has reviews dating 5 months ago (approx. 150 days) for the SL2.
How or where do I get a software patch that will read my RAW images?

you will need to use the most recent release of the Free Adobe DNG converter program to convert the RAW files from that camera to DNG files. They will then import into your version of LR.
Or you can subscribe to the Photographer subscription plan and get the most current version of LR and PS for $9.99 US a month.
